Earth would eventually get merged with the sun and the world would come to at an end. It is less likely to grow colder considering the trend of rising of global temperature. However, if temperatures fall to great extent, then the earth could get covered in ice and freeze. Both these scenarios would mean that life on earth will not sustain.
