Quoi and que are interrogative questions in french. Both mean "what". However, que can also be used as "which".
For example- 1) Que manges-tu?
(What are you eating? OR What do you eat?)
The same question can be written as "Qu'est-ce que tu manges?"
2) Il fait quoi?
(What does he do? OR What is he doing?)
Again, the same question can be written as "Que fait-il?"
Hope this answer helps you :)
