We wind back the string of a kite when we need to bring down (landing) the kite from the sky.

  • Kite is a very common, paper made flying toy.
  • A kite flies by the help of the atmospheric air flow and we can control the flight of the kite with the help of the string which is attached to the kite.
  • When we need to bring down the kite from the sky we simply wind the string back into opposite direction. The string winds back and creates a downward pull and that's why the kite lands on the ground.
  • We have to do this winding and landing process very gently, else the string or the kite may get damaged by excessive pull force.
