when does a body become positively charged? Does the mass of the body changes?

joshihimanshu46: a body will gain positive charge usually by removal of electrons. due do their negligible mass they is usually change in mass of the body..

mass of the body never changes it remain always constant and when you rub plastic from your body then plastic will ne charge and attract small piece of paper

sanjay270899: And for protons?
joshihimanshu46: protons mostly do not change their position..
joshihimanshu46: they r attached to nucleus.. if they move that means atom move n thus the whole body move
joshihimanshu46: hope u got that
sanjay270899: It is not necessary... If an object is positive charged then there are two possibilities. 1) Electron leaved. or 2.) Positive impurities are being doped.
joshihimanshu46: yep...
joshihimanshu46: but in most cases.. e- leaves
joshihimanshu46: i need to go now.. bye bye n gn....
sanjay270899: Your class?

No mass of body dont change only there is a shortage of electron. that mass ofElectron is balanced by the energy required to remove electron from atom.
