Lunar eclipse is a natural phenomena (event) which occurs during a full moon day. Sometimes during a full moon day the Sun, the Earth, the moon lie exactly in a straight line. When the Earth comes in between the Sun and the Earth, blocking the sunlight from falling from the moon and the moon gets covered by the Earth's shadow and this is when lunar eclipse takes place.
