Given,

area = 900 cm²

side = x

we know,

area of square = a×a

as the length of the sides of square are increased by 5 cm so

sides are = x + 5

now,

→ ( x + 5 )² = 900

→ x + 5 = √900

→ x + 5 = 30

→ x = 30 - 5 = 25

→ x = 25

therefore, length of sides of new square are 25.
