When each side of a square was enlarged by 3m , the area becomes 121m2.What was the length of a side of the original square ?​

Answer:

let original side =a

area =a^2

side enlarged by 3 m

so new =a+3

new area = (a+3)^2

121= (a+3)^2

11^2=(a+3)^2

square root

11=a+3

a=8

initial side length =8 mtr
