When current pass through a solenoid,a magnetic field is generated around the solenoid, due to this needle deflect

The magnetic needle deflects because when the current passes through a solenoid the electromagnetic field is generated around the solenoid thus due to the Presence of the magnetic field the needle of magnetic compass deflects.
