when few drops of phenolphthaleun are added to a dilute solution hydroxide a pink colour is produced. what will be the colour the final mixture when excess of HCL is added to it?(justify your answer)

it will be colourless

Explanation:

it is because phenolphthaleun is added to NaOH which is a base to get pink colour .If excess of HCl is added then it neutralises this base and becomes acidic in nature . phenolphthaleun turns colourless in acidic medium.
