let me tell you first that rational no are those which can be occur as p/q form . and let me tell you that the value of π is not equal to 22/7 it is equal to 3.141.... and so on. we use 22/7 as the value of π for our practice purposes. Since the value of π tends to infinite decimal spaces and we can not write the value of π as p/q form. That's why π is irrational no.

Step-by-step explanation:

1) π nearest value is 22/7

2) π and 22/7 are close to each other but not equal .

3)22/7 is used in the place of π to solve the problems and get the result easily and accurately.

4) For our convience π is taken as 22/7 there are proofs that π is irrational number which cannot be equal to 22/7
