When finding the Specific Latent Heat of Fusion of Ice, why do we use warm water instead of room temperature water to submerge the ice into?

It is so because when we submerge the ice into the warm water the ice gets the required amount of heat energy from warm water to melt.

If we use room temp water the ice will not get sufficient amount of heat energy and the it may take longer time which will bring variations in the final answer
