Given :

five times a number is decreased it has the same value as four the number increased by 15

To Find :

The number

Solution :

Let The number = x

According to statements

Statement I

Five times a number is decreased by 15

i.e  5 x - 15             .........1

Statement II

Four the number increased by 15

i.e  4 x + 15               ...........2

Equating eq 1 and eq 2

So,   5 x - 15 = 4 x + 15

Or,   5 x - 4 x = 15 + 15

Or,     x = 30

Hence, The number is 15   Answer
