Applied force can cause deceleration. If an object is moving and there is anapplied force in the opposite direction of the motion, the object will decelerate or slow down. If you throw a ball up at a given velocity, it will slow down as it travels upward due to the force of gravity.

Answer:unbalanced force causes a change in speed, motion or direction

When two forces are applied on moving object in same direction then the net force is equal to sum of two forces
