Given: dry fish is \frac{1}{3}rd of the weight of the fresh fish.

Solution:

Know that from the question,

weight dry fish=\frac{1}{3} \times weight of fresh fish.

Find the weight of dry fish if the weight of the fresh fish is 6 kg.

weight dry fish=\frac{1}{3} \times weight of fresh fish

                       \[ = \frac{1}{3} \times 6\]

                      \[ = \frac{6}{3}\]

                      \[ = 2kg\]

Hence, after drying 6 kg of fish we will get 2kg of dry fish.
