When Gandhi got the whole hearted support of the lawyers he said, “The battle of Champaran is won‟. He said so because now the people of state of Bihar were ready to be united and fight for their rights. The lawyers who were fighting cases of the sharecroppers, now decided to follow Gnadhi to jails in case he got arrested. When Gandhi saw this willingness in lawyers to follow him to jails through court arrest, he was convinced of the victory against the British landlords, which was the beginning of their victory against the British Empire.
