When green aqueous ferrous sulphate is heated it yields anhydrous ferrous sulphate.

On heating the colour of the Ferrous Sulphate first changes to white and then to brown.This is a thermal decomposition reaction.The white coloured substance is anhydrous Ferrous Sulphate and brown coloured substance is Ferric Oxide
