When the gun fires the bullet comes with full force and the same way it pulls us because any action there is an equivalent opposite reaction f1 is the force that the bullet comes and f2 is the force acts upon us. F1 and f2 are same but opposite to each other so we take f2 = -f1 by add f1 and f2 we get zero f1 - f1 = 0
