After Antony was left alone with Caesar’s body, he asked forgiveness of Caesar’s soul for befriending his assassins. He called Caesar the noblest man that ever lived in the tides of time. He also called Brutus and his accomplices ‘butchers’. Then he predicted that a curse would inflict the people of Rome; the entire Italy would be afflicted with domestic fury and civil war. There streets of Rome would be strewn with dead bodies. Caesar’s spirit would descend from heaven accompanied by Ate, the Greek goddess of revenge, seeking revenge for the unjust murder and wreak havoc all across Rome.

Antony asked for forgiveness after he was left alone with the body of Caesar.

He called Brutus and his accomplices “butchers” and called Caesar a noble man.

He cursed them all and cursed Rome. He said that there would be dead bodies all over the streets and Caesar’s soul will take revenge.
