when hot tea poured in thick glass tumbler it cracks why​

Answer:

The cracks is caused by differential thermal expension. The part of the glass that the boiling water touches first expand due to the heat, but the heat doesn't conduct through the glass quickly so there is stress between the expended inside of the glass and unextended out side of the glass.
