Selective breeding happens when human controls breeding of other organisms to help certain traits.

Explanation:

When human control breeding of the organisms and the breeding involves selective parents with some particular characteristics which needs to be go to the offspring and produce the offspring with desirable characteristics. This type of breeding is called selective breeding.

In this type of breeding a particular type of the gene variants can be passed from the one generation to the next generation.

Example: If tall plants are selected to breed each other and exclude the short plant then in the next generation we will get all the tall plants where the tall gene will be inherited in the next generation.
