But after the vacation when I set off for the hostel, there was a servant walking with me with a huge tin of homemade ghee and a large sack of super-fine rice. He cooked my food separately in the hostel. Day by day I grew pink and strong. I generally survived on rice and slept a lot. Once I slept for thirty six hours at a stretch.
