Let the page on the left side be x and on the right hand side be x+1.

It is given that their sum is 85.

So,
x + (x+1) = 85
2x = 84
x = 42

and, x+1= 43


Hence, two pages who will face u are 42 and 43.

we have to find the page numbers you facing  are?

now
 because page numbers when we open the book always consecutive.

solution :-

let the page number on the left side is x
and 
page number on right side is (x+1) 

now according to question 
x + (x+1) = 85 
=> 2x +1 =85 
=> 2x = 84 
=> x = 42 
and 
the second page number is (x+1) = 42 + 1 = 43 


hence
 the page numbers  you face are 42 and 43 answer
