my brothers age = 4/2=2years.
After 40 years: my age = 4+40=44
my brother's age = 40+2=42

Hii friend,

Let your present age is X years.

Before four years your age = (X-4) years.

According to question,

(X-4) = X/2

2(X-4) = X

2X -8 = X

2X-X = 8

X = 8 years.

Age of your brother = X/2 = 8/2 = 4 years

Your present age is 8 years.

After 36 years your age = (X+36) = (8+36) = 44 years.


After 36 years age of your brother = (X/2 + 36) = (4+36) = 40 years.
