When I was playing with the magnet, I noticed that all of the Indian coins are attracted towards it except for the 5 rupee coin. Why is that?

any metal with iron in it is attracted to magnet.
metals such as aluminum, copper and gold are non-magnetic hence they are not attracted by a magnet.
5 rupee coins are not attracted by magnet because most of them are made of copper which is non-magnetic.
others are made of some alloys of iron hence they are magnetic.
