When ice is at - 10°C is slowly heated, the temperature of the ice gradually increases till 0°C, the temperature of the system remains constant when the ice changes into water and then further rises. Explain the observation

the temperature does not change because the heat is taken by ice to change its state .known as latent heat.

because when we supply heat to -10°c then it absob the heat energy and melt fast.it us because of latent heat that the temprature remain constant while change in state
