Answer:

Ram lost 25%.

Suppose Ram's initial salary was Rs.100

Then it was decresed by 50%

So Ram's salary after the decrease would be 100*(1-.5)=Rs. 50

Now again his salary is increased by 50%, but this hike will be against his current salary that is Rs. 50

So his salary will become 50*(1+.5)=Rs.75

Ram is getting (100-75)=25% less salary

Answer:

Let the number be = 100.

Decrease = 50% = 50.

∴ Decreased number = 100 - 50 = 50.

If decreased number is 50,

Then original number = 100.
