1)Srinivasa Ramanujan was born on 22 Dec 1887 and died on 26 April 1920. He was the mathematician present during the brutish rule in India.

2)During his whole life, he independently compiled nearly 3,900 results.

3)His contributions are the analytical theory of numbers and worked on elliptic functions, continued fractions, and infinite series.

4)Also, he discovered number 1729 as a smallest number that could be expressed by the sum of two cubes in two different ways.

This number was named Hardy-Ramanujan number.
