Iron displaces from Copper sulphate solution to form Iron sulphate and copper. This displaced copper gets accumulated on the surface of iron.

Hey!!!!

________

This observation is based on the reactivity series of metals.

In the reactivity series of metals Fe > Cu

Thus when we put a Iron rod into copper sulphate solution, iron displaces copper from its salt solution and a brown film is observed on the iron rod.

____________

Hope this helps ✌️
