When iron nails are placed in a copper sulphate solution after some hours the colour of solution will change to light green this is because it reacts with copper sulphate to give light green iron sulphate and copper.
Reaction :- Fe + CuSo4 ------->
FeSo4 + Cu.

Answer:

This reaction is called displacement reaction in which the reactive element Iron, Fe has displaced less reactive Copper from its solution, The chemical equation can be written as: Fe+CuSO4→Cu+FeSO4.
