An object is said to be in state of motion when it changes its place continuously with respect to its reference point.

Motion can be of different types depending upon the type of path by which the object is going thorugh--

1. Circulatory motion
2.Linear Motion
3. Oscillatory Motion

\bold{Circulatory\:motion:-} When the object moves along a circular path is known as circulatory motion.

\bold{Linear\:Motion:-} When an object moves in a straight line path is known as Linear motion.

\bold{Oscillatory\:motion:-} When an object moves to and fro path with respect to its origin.

== \underline\bold{Uniform\:motion:-}

When a body travels equal distance in equal interval of time , then the motion is said to be in the uniform motion.

==\underline\bold{Non-uniform\:motion:-}

When an object travels unequal distance in equal interval of time , then the motion is said to be in the non-uniform motion.
