Answer:

HELLO MATE:-

Componendo and dividendo is applicable only incase of an equation being linear one.

For example:-

(3x+1)/(3x-1)= 1/3

(Applying Componendo and dividendo we get)

3x+1+3x-1

___________=1+3/1-3

3x+1-3x+4

6x/5= -4

6x=-20

Therefore, x=-10/3

HOPE THIS HELPS..☺️

Answer:

Look, this phenomenon is not used for a single fraction. It is used to prove that two fractions are equal.

As in the attachment above, to prove that 1/2 = 4/8 , we used the method of Componendo and Dividendo, and got the final value as (-3) for both the fractions.
