When is glyccogen converted to glucose and released into blood

The hormone insulin converts blood glucose into glycogen. The process of conversion of glucose to glycogen is called glycogenesis.

All this process occur in liver where insulin promotes it's conversion.

Insulin is a peptide hormone which is released by the pancreas. The beta cells of pancreas islets produce it. Insulin is also called main anabolic hormone of the body.
