when is indian constitution adopted

On 26th January 1950 Indian Constitution made by Baba Saheb Ambedkar,was adopted and therefore it's celebrated as Republic Day.

it was adopted on 1949 but it came to effect on 26 january 1950 so we celebrate it as republic day
