The condition in which there is no external force is working on a body in that condition the acceleration on the body is zero . That is there is no change in the instantaneous velocity of the body through out the given period of time.

Simply when the body is under a uniform motion or rest then there is no acceleration .

Note :- Instantaneous velocity is the velocity measured between a very small interval of time.
