the force on a current carrying ccounductor placed in a magnetic  feild is largest when it is placed in 90 or 270 degree only and this principle is used in a generators also.

F(B)=I(L*B)[vector cross product]=I*L*Bsin¤{¤ is the angle between the current carrying conductor and the magnetic field) Since sin has it's highest value at 90 Degree I.e 1 the force experienced by a current–carrying conductor placed in a magnetic field is largest when the angle between them is 90
