Step-by-step explanation:

A common multiple of two whole numbers a and b is a number c which a and b both divide into evenly.

For example, 48 is a common multiple of 6 and 12 since

48÷6=8 and

48÷12=4 .

If the both the numbers are prime or they they don’t have a common multiple

For example:

1. we take 5 and 7 (both are prime number)

In this case L.C.M is 35(5x7)

2. Now we take 3 and 4(they don’t have common multiple)

In this case L.C.M is 12(3x4)
