Pressure=Force/Area

pressure is inversely proportional to area

When a person is standing the area through which force is applied (his feet) is less when compared to the person when he is lying . Because when he lie his whole body is in contact with ground (large area)

In both cases force is constant

so pressure is more when area is less

Pressure on ground is more when person is standing

Pressure is more when a man is standing.

Force exerted by a man on the surface on which he is standing is equal to his weight.

Pressure = Force / area

weight is same whether he is standing or lying.

But when he is standing the area in contact is less that means the pressure is more as compared to the pressure when he is lying.

hope this helps you ☺️☺️☺️
