work done by a force will be 0 if the displacement of the body is perpendicular to the force applied ...

Work done is said to be zero when the displacement is zero or when the displacement done is perpendicular to the direction of applied force.


Examples

When a person pushes an object but fails to move it.

When a person is standing.

When we are sitting.

When no motion is caused in a body.
