Hey dear,
● Answer -
Formation of CuCr2O7 from CuSO4 is due to basic nature of CuSO4 solution.
● Explaination -
Due to acidic nature of CuSO4, K2CrO4 reacts with CuSO4 to give CuCrO4.
K2CrO4(aq) + CuSO4(aq) --> K2SO4(aq) + CuCrO4(s)
Due to basic nature of CuSO4, K2CrO4 reacts with CuSO4 to give CuCr2O7.
2K2CrO4(aq) + CuSO4(aq) --> K2SO4(aq) + CuCr2O7(s) + K2O(s)
Hope this helps you.
