Lead nitrate is a white coloured compound,when it is heated it decomposes to give;lead oxide, nitrogen dioxide and oxygen.. When the lead nitrate is heated up then the lead nitrate decomposes the heat, and the nitrogen oxide appears to be the brown fumes, and then the oxygen is produced, but when the leas nitrate is heated up then it decomposes to lead nitrogen oxide, lead mono oxide and the oxygen.
