When light falls on the interface of two media it may be REFRACTED another part is REFLECTED and the remaining is ABSORBED.

Refraction of light shall follow Snell's Law:

 \boxed{ \sf{ \mu1 \sin(i)  =  \mu2 \sin(r) }}

Where , \mu refers to Refractive Index , i refers to angle of incidence and r refers angle of refraction.

Reflection of light shall follow the rules:

 \boxed{ \sf{ \angle i =  \angle r}}

Absorption is done by the medium particles resulting in reduction in amplitude of light wave.
