When looking at animal and plant cells, could organelles be considered as needful to the cell as organs (like the heart) would be to the body?

An organelle is a subcellular structure that has one or more specific jobs to perform in the cell, much like an organ does in the body. Among the more important cell organelles are the nuclei, which store genetic information; mitochondria, which produce chemical energy; and ribosomes, which assemble proteins. Membrane-bound organelles offer several advantages to eukaryotic cells. First, cells can concentrate and isolate enzymes and reactants in a smaller volume, thereby increasing the rate and efficiency of chemical reactions. So organelles could be considered as needful to the cell as organs (like the heart) would be to the body.
