When metals like Na, K, Ca react with acids like HCL , hydrogen has is evolved. Explain why no evolution of hydrogen gas take place when same metals react with HNO3.

hydrogen is not evolved when these metals react with nitric acid because
nitric acid is a strong oxidizing agent and when reacting with metals it gets reduced rather than producing hydrogen
