The answer is B as the h2 is released and the solution mgcl2 is oxidized by the reaction . But because of mg the h and cl are seperated. Therefore,the answer is option b .


Iamanswering: but Mg is removing H from Cl...So when H is removed that substance(Cl) is called oxidised and the element who caused this is Mg...maybe it is A....please confirm and consider this comment too before giving an answer
