• Right to information act was introduced to follow the rules and regulations regarding citizens right to information.

• This act was Enacted in 15 June 2005 and it was Assented on 22 June 2005. This law came into force on 12 October 2005.

• Under the equipment of Right to information Act(RTI), any citizen of India may appeal information from a "public command" that is required to respond rapidly or within 30 days.

• In this case one has to provide the required information immediately, that is, within 48 hours.

• This act also requires every public authority to initialize their records for further investigation.

• It replaced the previous Freedom of details Act, 2002.
