naphthalene balls disappear due to sublimation

sublimation is a process by which a solid directly changes to gas without undergoing the liquid phase.
It is a physical change because there is only a change in the state of the substanse. no chemical reaction is taking place.

however it is an irreversible change as you cannot get back the solid naphthalene balls again.
hope this helps you.
