Nelson Mandela was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1964 and he left prison in 1990 because the whites and blacks after long struggles decided to live as equals.The whites uplifted the ban on political parties and forgave each other. That's why Nelson Mandela was set free.

Nelson Mandela and 7 other leader was sentenced to life imprisonment 1964 for dying to oppose the apartheid regime in his country . He spend the next 28 years in South Africa's most dreaded prison Robben Island . After 28 years of imprisonment , Nelson Mandela walked out of the jail on 1960 .
