The National Museum was built in 1949 in New Delhi.It is situated on Janpath.It contains a variety of articles disposing from prehistoric era to modern works of art.

And the National Archives was also established on 11 March in 1891,in Calcutta.It is also situated on Janpath and Rajpath in New Delhi,both are located in South Asia.

It functions as an Attached Office of the Department of Culture under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
