When North pole approaches a coil, the front side of the coil will show an anticlockwise current.

  • According to Lenz's law , the changing magnetic flux would induce emf in the coil in such a way that it would oppose the cause which has produced it.
  • Due to the change in magnetic flux , an emf will be induced in the coil and its direction will be such that it will try to stop the change of magnetic flux.
  • For the formation of North Pole on the magnetic side, the current will be anti clockwise when the coil os seen from the magnet side.
