In simple words, that means it is the rate of change of velocity. Because velocity is not changing (it is uniform) then the rate of change (acceleration) is zero. Since acceleration is rate of change of velocity over time,a body moving with uniform velocity will have 0 acceleration.

HEY!!!

when a body moves with uniform velocity ,it covers equal displacement in equal interval of time ...

Hence,rate of change of velocity

becomes zero...

now ... acceleration is rate of change of velocity..

since rate of change of velocity

becomes zero...

acceleration also becomes zero....
